MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Brett Pollock stepped up when his Edmonton Oil Kings needed him.

Pollock tied the game late in the third period then scored in overtime to lead Edmonton to a 3-2 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Wednesday in Western Hockey League action.

Dysin Mayo also scored for the Oil Kings (11-8-3), while Tristan Jarry made 30 saves for the win.

Captain Brayden Point had both goals for Moose Jaw (9-10-2) and Justin Paulic stopped 35 shots.

Edmonton did not score on its two power plays, while the Warriors went 1 for 6 with the man advantage.

Pollock scored his first goal with 1:39 left to play in the third. He then put away the winner 4:14 into the extra period.

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. — Landon Bow stopped all 25 shots he faced as the Broncos blanked Brandon.

Cavin Leth, Coda Gordon, Ayrton Nikkel, Glenn Gawdin and Colby Cave supplied the offence for Swift Current (13-8-4).

Jordan Papirny made 28 saves for the Wheat Kings (17-5-1).

CRANBROOK, B.C. — Trevor Cox had a hat trick and added an assist as Medicine Hat topped Kootenay.

Tommy Vannelli scored and added two assists for the Tigers (16-4-2), while Mason Shaw, Blake Penner and Chad Labelle chipped in as well.

Sam Reinhart, Tim Bozon and Jaedon Descheneau replied for the Ice (8-14-0).

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Chase Witala and Cal Babych had two goals apiece as the Cougars dispatched Vancouver.

Brad Morrison and Chance Braid also scored for Prince George (12-12-0).

Carter Popoff had the only goal for the Giants (9-13-0).

KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Mike Winther's power-play goal early in the second period was the eventual winner as the Blazers earned a victory over the Portland.

Jake Kryski, Luke Harrison and Cole Ully also scored for Kamloops (10-10-4).

Keoni Texeira was the lone scorer for the Winterhawks (9-12-3).

VICTORIA — Jesse Lees struck twice and added an assist as Kelowna flew past the Royals.

Nick Merkley, Rourke Chartier and Tyson Baillie rounded out the attack for the Rockets (21-1-2).

Joe Hicketts scored and added two assists for Victoria (12-11-2). Captain Brandon Magee and Brandon Fushimi had goals as well.
