Daniel Winnik traveled back to Toronto with his Maple Leafs teammates one day after a scary fall that saw the forward stretchered off the ice in the first period of Wednesday's shootout loss to the Colorado Avalanche.
Team PR says the 29-year-old is still being monitored by medical staff but there is no other update in his condition.
Winnik collided with Avs defenceman Jan Hejda less then a minute into Wednesday's contest, lost his balance and fell head first onto the ice, lying motionless for several minutes before being removed by medical staff.
Winnik tweeted a thank you to those expressing concern today and added, "Was a scary moment but am feeling good."
Winnik declined an interview request last night, but was spotted outside the team dressing room laughing and chatting with Broncos lineman Orlando Franklin.
