Premier League new boys Wolverhampton Wanderers have secured the services of Mexico international Raul Jimenez on a season-long loan from Benfica.

A native of Tepeji, Mexico, Jimenez will wear El Tri's No.9 jersey at the World Cup.

Jimenez, 27, has made 120 appearances for the Portuguese side over three seasons since coming over from Atletico Madrid, scoring 31 times. Jimenez captured the Primeira Liga title with Benfica in 2016 and 2017.

A product of the America academy, Jimenez won a LigaMX Clausura with the senior team in 2012 and the Apetura in 2014. All told, Jimenez scored 39 goals in 102 appearances for America over four seasons before heading to Europe.

Capped 63 times by El Tri, Jimenez was a member of the gold medal-winning Mexico side at the 2012 London Summer Olympics.

Wolves returns to the Premier League after a six-year absence by virtue of winning the Championship title.
