Randal Grichuk hit his first home run of the spring, but the Toronto Blue Jays dropped their penultimate Florida contest 13-6 to the New York Yankees.

Didi Gregorius and Giancarlo Stanton both had two-run home runs for the Bronx Bombers, while Zack Zehner's seventh-inning grand slam off of Sam Moll put things out of reach.

The Jays took the lead in the first on a two-run jack from Grichuk off of Yanks starter David Hale, but the Yankees got that right back in the bottom half of the inning on a two-run home run from Gregorius off of Jays starter Chris Rowley. Rowley went three innings, allowing just the two earned runs on one hit and striking out five.

Toronto got their lead back, at 3-2, in the fifth thanks to a Kendrys Morales single that plated Yangervis Solarte, but that would be the Jays' final lead of the afternoon.

After the Yankees tied it in the fourth, Stanton's two-run homer off of Carlos Ramirez in the fifth made it 5-3 and the Yankees never looked back.

Kevin Pillar had a solo home run and Solarte was 4-for-4 in a losing effort.

Ramirez (0-1) took the loss, while Giovany Gallegos (1-0) got the victory.

The Jays wrap up the Florida portion of their exhibition schedule on Sunday when they host the Pittsburgh Pirates at Dunedin before flying north to Montreal for a pair with the St. Louis Cardinals at Olympic Stadium.

Toronto opens up its regular season on Thursday at the Rogers Centre with the first of four against the Yankees.
