After the Calgary Flames made their blockbuster move at Day 2 of the NHL Draft, head coach Bill Peters discussed the potential of how the team would line up with Elias Lindholm and Noah Hanafin as well as where we might be seeing from Matthew Tkachuk. .

In discussing the two new additions, Peters also mentioned that Tkachuk will most likely be seeing time on the top line during the preseason to see what the left winger can do on the right side.

Peters told the Calgary Sun, “I want to see Chucky on that side to see how he looks there,” discussing the potentional of putting him on a line with Sean Monahan and Johnny Gaudreau.

“I told him I want him working in the off-season on picking up rims and being in the d-zone on his off wing. He’ll do it in the preseason and I’ll put Lindy in the middle.”

After starting the year on the third line with Sam Bennett, Tkachuk was moved up to the second line after an injury to Michael Frolík and spent the rest of the season on that line.

The 20-year-old had 24 goals and 49 points in his second full season with the Flames.

As for Lindholm, he's also spent time on the right side but the Swede was 20th in the league on the faceoff at 54.5% which was higher than any player on the Flames roster.
