Philadelphia 76ers star centre Joel Embiid is experiencing left knee soreness, and as a result, will be out approximately one week, the team announced Wednesday.

The team says an MRI revealed that Embiid has no structural damage and is being held out as a precaution.

Embiid, 24, has averaged 27.3 points per game and 13.5 rebounds this season, en route to being named an all-star for the second consecutive year.

With the help of the fourth-year man, the 76ers have tallied a 37-21 record, which has them sitting fifth in the Eastern Conference and six and half games out of first place.
