The CFL said on Wednesday that an arbitrator has heard Duron Carter's appeal of his one-game suspension and is reserving a decision for a later date, meaning the Montreal Alouettes receiver can play in the meantime.

The 25-year-old Carter is appealing the one-game ban that he received for knocking over Redblacks head coach Rick Campbell on the sideline in a Week 2 loss to Ottawa.

Montreal's next game is Friday night against those same Redblacks.

Carter leads the 2-5 Alouettes in receiving yards (564) and touchdowns (three) in seven games this season.
