UTICA, N.Y. — Dylan Blujus and Evan McEneny scored in the third period to help the Utica Comets rally past the Laval Rocket 3-2 on Wednesday night in American Hockey League action.
Michael Carcone opened scoring the first period for Utica (7-10-2), the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks. Thatcher Demko made 19 saves for the win.
Nikita Jevpalovs and Alex Belzile replied in the second period to give Laval (7-10-2), the minor league club for the Montreal Canadiens, a 2-1 lead. Charlie Lindgren stopped 14 shots in net.
The Comets were 1 for 5 on the power play and the Rocket could not score on their five man advantages.
Laval is winless in its past three games.
