Montreal Canadiens forward David Desharnais has a broken foot and will be sidelined for the next three weeks, the team tweeted out Friday morning.
Desharnais was injured blocking a shot with his foot in Monday's 6-2 loss to the Arizona Coyotes and underwent X-rays after the game.
Desharnais has nine goals and 17 assists in 57 games this seasons.
The Canadiens have allowed 15 goals over an 0-3-0 trip that concluded with Wednesday's 3-2 loss to Colorado. They host the Philadelphia Flyers this evening from the Bell Centre.
