Jaroslav Halak has agree to a deal to join the Boston Bruins

The 33-year old started 54 games for the New York Islanders last season, recording a .908 save percentage and 3.19 goals against average. 

Halak was traded to the Islanders in 2014 from the Washington Capitals in exchange for a fourth round pick in the 2014 draft, Igor Shestyorkin. He is coming off of a four-year contract worth $18 million, signed shortly after the Islanders acquired him.

Jaroslav Halak was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in round 9 (#271 overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Since then, Halak has posted a career average .916 save percentage and 2.50 goals against average through 449 starts.

The Bruins have also agreed to a two-year, $2 million deal with Joakim Nordstrom.

The 26-year-old played 75 games last season with the Carolina Hurricanes and scored two goals with five assists.

He has appeared in 282 games over his NHL career with 20 goals and 29 assists.
