The Vancouver Canucks will be without Sven Baertschi for four-to-six weeks after the forward suffered a broken jaw.

The 25-year-old was hit in the face by a puck during Saturday's loss against the Calgary Flames. Mark Giordano attempted to clear the puck form the Flames zone and it bounced off the glass, deflecting into Baertschi.

Canucks head coach Travis Green announced Monday Baertschi will not need surgery due to the injury.

In 30 games this season, the 2011 Flames' first-round pick owns eight goals and 18 points.

The Canucks are already without forward Bo Horvat due to a right foot fracture.
