Miles Mikolas is sticking around in St. Louis.

According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, Mikolas and the Cardinals have agreed to a four-year, $68 million contract extension. The deal begins in 2020.

Mikolas impressed last season with the Cardinals, pitching to an earned run average of 2.83 over 200.2 innings. He was also named to the All-Star Team for the first time in his career.

Mikolas' breakout season was the first he's played in the majors since 2014. After a few pedestrian seasons to begin his career, Mikolas made the jump to Japan, where he pitched for three seasons.

He originally signed a two-year, $15.5 million deal with the Cards upon returning to North America. Now, he's set to receive a lot more than that.

The 30-year-old was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the seventh round in 2009 and began his career in 2012. Through parts of three seasons with the Padres and Texas Rangers, Mikolas went 4-6 with an ERA of 5.32.
