The Bombers' season opener will feature Chris Streveler as Winnipeg's starting QB, in place of Zach Collaros due to a one-game suspension. The start will represent a minor miracle. Eight months ago in the 2024 Banjo Bowl, Streveler’s football future was in jeopardy after Saskatchewan’s Miles Brown hit him low, tearing his ACL, MCL and PCL with surgery needed to repair the first two ligaments. Now he and Collaros are motivated to lead the Bombers to host and win the Grey Cup on home turf, with Streveler feeling like he has a new lease on his football life. TSN's John Lu has more.
