COPENHAGEN - Denmark failed to take its chance to move away from Albania in their European Championship group with a 0-0 draw Friday, while Serbia beat Armenia 2-0.

Sokol Cikalleshi's header in the 23rd minute almost put the visitors ahead but Denmark dominated the second half with attempts by Nicolai Jorgensen, Nicklas Bendtner and Daniel Agger.

A goal after the break by Bendtner was judged to be offside, while the visitors surprised the Danes with more offensive play than expected.

Portugal leads Group I with 12 points, ahead of Denmark and Albania on 11. Denmark has played one more game.

The draw was hailed in Albania as a victory with Prime Minister Edi Rama tweeting: "Super! We're in playoff for sure. The dream continues."

Denmark plays in Armenia on Monday without striker Christian Eriksen who is out with a knee injury, while Albania hosts Portugal.

At the bottom of the group, Serbia went ahead in the 22nd when Andrija Zivkovic put the ball toward the line with defender Levon Hayrapetyan accidentally getting the final touch for an own goal. Adem Ljajic capitalized on a rebound in the 53rd to add a second goal.

Serbia remained unbeaten in five games against Armenia.
