David Amerson is staying in the AFC West.

The Kansas City Chiefs announced the signing of the former Oakland Raiders cornerback.

The NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says the deal is for one year and $6 million.

A native of Honolulu, Amerson was limited to just six games with the Raiders last season with a foot injury. He had 14 tackles, one fumble recovery and four passes defended.

Taken in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft out of North Carolina State by the Washington Redskins, the 26-year-old Amerson has appeared in 68 games over five seasons with the Redskins and Raiders, recording eight career interceptions and two pick-sixes.

Amerson joins a deep secondary already featuring Marcus Peters and Eric Berry.
