CALGARY FLAMES

The Flames practiced Friday afternoon at the Saddledome. There was full attendance including defenceman Travis Hamonic, who left Thursday's game against the San Jose Sharks late in the third period after taking a shot to the hand.

Hamonic has been dealing with a lower-body injury but he felt good enough to practice as well as play in Vancouver on Saturday.

Head coach Bill Peters did not name his starting goaltender for Saturday. He said he had a good conversation with David Rittich Friday morning. Their talk was more about life in general than Thursday night’s game. However, Peters is confident in Rittich’s ability to put a poor performance - he allowed two goals on six shots before being pulled in favour of Mike Smith - behind him. - Jermain Franklin, TSN
