After not receiving a qualifying offer, defenceman Joe Morrow has agreed to a one-year, $1 million deal to remain with the Winnipeg Jets.

Morrow appeared in 18 games with the Jets in 2017-18 after he was acquired in a February 26 trade with the Montreal Canadiens.

The 25-year-old scored a goal and added four assists with a plus-7 rating.  He also played six playoff games for the Jets and added one marker.

Morrow also played in 38 games last season with the Canadiens and posted 11 points, including five goals.

He has also played with the Boston Bruins over the course of his 121 game NHL career.

The Edmonton native was drafted in the first round, 23rd overall, of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
