Italian Champions Juventus will face the Major League Soccer All-Stars in Atlanta on Aug. 1.

The defending Serie A Champions and current Italian league leader, feature explosive young talent Paulo Dybala, his Argentine compatriot Gonzalo Higuain and ageless wonder Gianluigi Buffon, but it is unclear whether Buffon will retire at the end of the season before the summer.

The All-Star Game, which since 2005 has featured European clubs pitted against MLS All-Stars, will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. It is just the second time an Italian team has featured in the MLS All-Star game. The first was AS Roma in 2013. Roma beat the MLS All-Stars 3-1.

This is the first time Atlanta has hosted the MLS All-Star Game. Atlanta United debuted in the MLS last season.

Atlanta’s fan base has already become one of the biggest in the MLS in that short span.

The team holds the record for the highest attendance for an MLS game. They broke the record twice last season and again in 2018 where their home opener drew 72,035.
