The Toronto Maple Leafs signed winger Carl Grundstrom of the Swedish Hockey League to a three-year entry-level contract on Friday.

Selected 57th overall by the Leafs in the 2016 NHL Draft, the 19-year-old scored 14 goals and added six assists over 45 games last year in Sweden with Frolunda HC.

Before joining Frolunda, Grundstrom played two seasons with Modo.

The native of Sweden recorded seven points over seven games at the 2017 world junior hockey championship.
