After being acquired from the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday in a blockbuster deal, Kawhi Leonard is expected to take his physical over the next couple days, Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri announced at a news conference on Friday.

Earlier Friday, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reported that both Leonard and Danny Green - who was also acquired from the Spurs for DeMar DeRozanJakob Poeltl and a protected first-round pick - would be in Toronto on Friday for a physical, but it appears that won't happen quite yet.

Shortly after news broke that Leonard had been traded to the Raptors, ESPN's Chris Haynes reported that Leonard "has no desire to play in Toronto." Since then, reports have emerged stating that the Raptors and Leonard’s camp have had positive dialogue about his future with the team.

Leonard, 27, appeared in only nine games last season with a quadriceps injury as his health remains a question mark. The 2014 NBA Finals MVP will become a free agent at the end of the 2018-19 season if not signed to a contract extension.

Green, 31, appeared in 70 games last season and averaged 8.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
