With the MLB Off-Season underway, many teams are looking to upgrade, find replacements, and make major renovations to their clubs. Free agents are also in the looks for potential new teams to join. TSN.ca looks at the day's hottest off-season rumors and speculations.

Picky A’s

Oakland Athletics right-handed pitcher Jeff Samardzija has been speculated to possibly get traded to the Atlanta Braves. An update this morning according to John Hickey of the Bay Area News Group, says that the Athletics will not be trading Jeff Samardzija to the Braves. He was acquired by the Athletics at last season’s trade deadline and within 16 games he went 5-6 with a 3.14 ERA.

Decisions, Decisions.

Free agency can be a great thing. Torii Hunter will not be returning to the Detroit Tigers this upcoming season, according to AJ Mass, an ESPN Insider. He has speculated to have narrowed down prospective clubs this past weekend. Torii Hunter had a batting average of .286 with 17 home runs and 83 RBI’s with the Tigers in 2014.

As seen on Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal's Twitter, Torii Hunter is talking with the Baltimore Orioles, Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, Minnesota Twins, and possibly the Kansas City Royals.

O Alternative

The Orioles are also weighing in on the Los Angeles Dodgers' outfielder Matt Kemp, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports. If they cannot resign Nick Markakis, they need to find alternatives to replace the New York native.
