Arian Foster's recovery from groin surgery appears to be ahead of schedule.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Houston Texans running back will avoid the IR/designated to return, and could be back in as early as a month.
Foster was expected to be out until November but Rapoport reports surgery went well and the 29-year-old could be back sometime in September.
The former undrafted free agent had 1,246 rushing yards and eight touchdowns last year before injuring his groin in training camp this year.
