Roberto Luongo isn't ready to call it quits just yet.

The 39-year-old Florida Panthers goaltender said Tuesday he'll be returning for a 19th NHL season next fall.

"I'm not going anywhere," Luongo told the Panther's website.

The 1997 first-round draft pick of the New York Islanders was held to just 33 starts this season due injuries. He posted an 18-11-2 record with a 2.47 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage with three shutouts.

Luongo, who spent five seasons with the Panthers from 2000-2006 after a trade from the Islanders, just completed the fifth year of his second stint with the Panthers, having been moved back to the team by the Vancouver Canucks in 2014.

He is under contract with the Panthers through the 2021-22 season at a $5.3 million cap hit on the 12-year deal he signed with the Canucks in 2009.

A native on Montreal, Luongo has a 471-376-33-86 record in 1,001 career NHL games.
