The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired forward Josh Jooris from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for forward Greg McKegg.

Jooris has three goals and three assists in 31 games this season. The 27-year-old is making $775,000 this season and scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in the off-season.

In 204 career games, Jooris has 23 goals and 32 assists.

McKegg has split the season between the Penguins and their AHL affiliate in Scanton/Wilkes-Barre. He has two goals and two assists in 26 games at the NHL level this season.
