Nic Petan will be in the lineup on Saturday night when the Toronto Maple Leafs host the Buffalo Sabres.

The 23-year-old Delta, BC native was acquired at the trade deadline from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for Par Lindholm.

Tyler Ennis makes way for Petan.

"Just putting him in," Babcock said of the move. "Our pro scouts saw something they wanted, so we're putting him in and giving him an opportunity. [Ennis]'s played real well here, so it's tough that way...let's see what [Petan] does."

The Leafs are coming off of a 6-1 thrashing at the hands of the New York Islanders on Thursday night.

Petan will play on the fourth line alongside Frederik Gauthier and Trevor Moore.

In 13 games with the Jets this season, Petan has a pair of assists.
