The Philadelphia Flyers have traded forward Wayne Simmonds to the Nashville Predators for forward Ryan Hartman and a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft

The 30-year-old winger has 16 goals and 27 points while playing in 62 games this season.

Simmonds is currently slated to become an unrestricted free agent in July and carries a $3.975 million cap hit.

Drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the second round (61st overall) of the 2007 NHL Draft, Simmonds played three seasons for the Kings before he was dealt to the Flyers, along with Brayden Schenn and a 2012 second-round pick, for Mike Richards and Rob Bordson.

He is in the final season of a six-year, $23.85 million contract he signed with the Flyers in 2012, which included a 12-team no-trade list.

Hartman has 10 goals and 10 assists in 64 games this season and can become a restricted free agent on July 1.

The 24-year-old winger was traded to the Predators by the Chicago Blackhawks at the 2018 trade deadline.
