BAIE-COMEAU, Que. — Julien Pelletier scored a hat trick and Carl Neill recorded five assists as the Sherbrooke Phoenix downed the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 8-4 on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Yaroslav Alexeyev had two goals and an assist while Marek Zachar also struck twice for Sherbrooke (4-4-2). Felix Robert had the other and Thomas Gregoire added four helpers.

Ivan Chekhovich led the Drakkar (2-5-3) offence with two goals and two assists while Matt Jones had two goals and one helper.

Justin Blanchette made 23 saves for the win in net.

Bo Taylor took the loss by stopping 3-of-5 shots in 7:45 during the second period. Antoine Samuel started the game but was relieved midway through the second before re-entering after Taylor allowed his second goal. Samuel finished by kicking out 14-of-20 shots.

The Phoenix scored four times on five power plays while Baie-Comeau was 1 for 3.

BATHURST, N.B. — Giovanni Fiore had a pair of goals as Cape Breton got past the Titan.

Dillon Boucher, Phelix Martineau and Yannik Bertrand also scored for the Screaming Eagles (5-5-0). Kyle Jessiman stopped all 17 shots he faced in relief for the win in net. Kevin Mandolese started but was pulled after turning aside 8-of-11 shots in the first period.

Pierre-Luc Dubois, the No. 3 pick by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2016 NHL draft, recorded an assist in his first game since being returned to Cape Breton.

Dawson Theede had a pair of power-play goals in the first for Acadie-Bathurst (4-4-2) with Jonathan Boucier adding the other. Reilly Pickard took the loss, making 32 saves.

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Daniel Hardie struck twice and Tyler Boland had a goal and three assists as the Oceanic routed Gatineau.

Dylan Montcalm had a goal and two assists while Denis Mikhnin, Samuel Laberge and Alexandre Grise rounded out the attack for Rimouski (5-4-0). Alexandre Legace made 25 saves in net.

Yakov Trenin responded with a short-handed goal late in the third for the Olympiques (2-7-2). Mark Grametbauer took the loss after turning away 25-of-29 shots in 42:07. Tristan Berube finished the game and made seven saves on 10 shots.

CHICOUTIMI, Que. — Xavier Potvin made 37 saves, including stopping all five shooters in the shootout, as the Sagueneens slipped past Quebec.

Vincent Tremblay-Lapalme scored the shootout winner and Dmitry Zhukenov had a power-play goal in regulation for Chicoutimi (3-6-0).

Derek Gentile tied the game at 1-1 in the second and Callum Booth turned away 35 shots for the Remparts (5-4-1).

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Nico Hischier scored two goals and an assist and Maxime Fortier had a goal and two helpers to lead Halifax over the Tigres and snap a three-game skid.

Bradley Kennedy, Jared McIsaac, Ben Higgins and Otto Somppi supplied the rest of the offence for the Mooseheads (6-5-0). Alexis Gravel made 20 saves in net.

Alexandre Goulet, Antoine Lessard and Felix Meunier found the back of the net for Victoriaville (5-5-0). James Povall took the loss after turning away 9-of-13 shots in 24:47. Olivier Tremblay made 10 saves in relief.

SHAWNIGAN, Que. — Dennis Yan scored the winner with two minutes left in the third period as the Cataractes edged Moncton for their eighth straight win.

Samuel Bucek opened the scoring earlier in the third for Shawinigan (8-1-0) as Zachary Bouthillier made 30 saves for the win in net.

Cameron Askew answered a minute after Yan for the Wildcats (4-6-0), who dropped their fourth in a row. Keven Bouchard stopped 31 shots.
