Arsenal and Wales international midfielder Aaron Ramsey has signed a pre-contract agreement with Juventus and will join the Scudetto holders on July 1 on a four-year deal.

According to UEFA regulations, players in the final year of their deals can sign pre-contract agreements with teams in other leagues. The deal carries with it no transfer fee as his Arsenal contract expires on June 30.

The BBC's David Ornstein reports that Ramsey will earn £400,000 a week, making him the highest-earning British player in the world.

Ramsey, 28, joined Arsenal in 2008 from Cardiff City in  £4.8-million deal.

In 357 appearances across all competitions with the Gunners over 11 seasons, Ramsey has scored 61 goals.

With Arsenal, Ramsey won three FA Cup titles and two Community Shields.

The Gunners currently sit fifth in the Premier League, one point back of Manchester United for the final Champions League place.
