The New York Rangers have signed forward Jimmy Vesey to a two-year contract with an AAV of $2.275 million. 

The 25-year-old played 79 games with the Rangers last season recording 17 goals and 11 assists which were both career highs. 

Vesey has played 159 games in two seasons with the Rangers and was signed as a free agent on August 19, 2016.

He was originally selected by Nashville in the third round, 66th overall, of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
