Uruguay superstar Edinson Cavani will likely miss their World Cup quarterfinal against France, according to ESPN's Diego Munoz.

Cavani missed training for the third consecutive day on Wednesday while getting treatment on his injured calf.

The PSG main man scored two goals against Portugal in the Round of 16 to get Uruguay to this point.

Girona's Christian Stuani will most likely replace Cavani in the starting 11 alongside Barcelona's Luis Suarez.

Stuani replaced Cavani after he sustained the injury against Portugal in the second half of the game.

Uruguay takes on France in the first game of the quarterfinals on TSN1, TSN4, TSN5 and TSN.ca starting at 9AM ET/6AM PT on Friday.
