Toronto Blue Jays prospect Kacy Clemens, son of the legendary Roger Clemens, alleges he was brutally beaten by bar bouncers on New Year's Eve in Texas, reports TMZ.

Both Clemens and Conner Capel, an outfield prospect in the St. Louis Cardinals organization, are suing the bar - called the Concrete Cowboy - over the incident, claiming it was entirely unprovoked.

The pair claims that they were at the bar ordering their first drink of the night when they were asked by bouncers to vacate the spot in which they were standing. The lawsuit alleges that even though they complied with the request, the bouncers bloodied the bar with Capel incurring a fractured skull and Clemens sustaining an injury to his throwing arm.

The lawsuit also alleges that the police who arrived on the scene confirmed that neither of Clemens or Capel was intoxicated at the time.

Clemens and Capel are seeking $200,000 in damages.

Taken in the eighth round of the 2017 MLB Amateur Draft, Clemens, 24, split last season between Jays' affiliates Lansing and Dunedin in High A-Ball.

In a combined 122 games in both leagues, Clemens hit .231 with 12 home runs and 65 runs batted in and an OPS of .708.
