Alex Cobb will be staying in the American League East as he is close to a three-year deal in the range of $50 million with the Baltimore Orioles, according to a report by Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic.

Cobb made 29 starts last season for the Tampa Bay Rays and posted a 12-10 record with a 3.66 ERA in 179.1 innings.

The 30-year-old has spent his entire six season career with the Rays after they selected him in the fourth round of the 2006 MLB Amateur Draft.

Cobb missed the entire 2015 season after having Tommy John surgery, he was limited to only five starts in 2016.
