Veteran reliever Sergio Romo has agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million deal with the Miami Marlins according to a report by Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com.

The deal includes incentives and is pending a physical.

Romo appeared in 73 games last season for the Tampa Bay Rays and posted a 3-4 record with a 4.14 ERA and 75 strikeouts in 67.1 innings.  Romo also started five games for the Rays, who used him as an opener as well as out of the bullpen.

The 35-year-old has also appeared with the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 11-year MLB career.
