The Calgary Stampeders announced they have signed offensive lineman Shane Bergman to a two-year contract extension. Bergman was scheduled for free agency in February.

Bergman has spent his entire six-year CFL career with the Stampeders, and started all 18 regular season games and both playoff games, for Calgary last season.

"With his reliability and high level of play, Shane has been one of the cornerstones of our offensive line for the past few years," Stampeders president and general manager John Hufnagel said in a team press release. "I'm pleased that he has made a commitment to the club for two more seasons."
