Ben Bishop's return for the Dallas Stars was shortlived as the goaltender was injured once again in the team's loss to the Winnipeg Jets Sunday night.

Bishop, who missed five games earlier this month before returning on Friday, has been ruled out for at least two weeks after exiting Sunday's loss.

Bishop stopped three shots before leaving the game with 9:49 remaining in the first period after whipping out his left glove to snag a Bryan Little shot. Bishop stood in the crease bent over before skating off.

Dallas coach Ken Hitchcock didn't specify Bishop's lower-body injury, but said the netminder would be evaluated in two weeks.

Kari Lehtonen replaced Bishop and made 17 saves for the Stars, who finish off a six-game road trip Tuesday in Washington. Dallas is 0-3-2 so far.

"He stepped up for us, made some huge saves," Dallas defenceman John Klingberg said of Lehtonen. "We know we have two good goalies and they're probably our best players every night now so we depend on both of them."

Bishop has a 26-17-5 record this season with a 2.49 goals against average and a .916 save percentage. Lehtonen dropped to 22-12-10 on the season with Sunday's loss. He has a 2.46 goals against average and a .913 save percentage.

The Stars are currently tied with the Los Angeles Kings for the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference, though the Kings have one game in hand.
