Chelsea Carey and her rink from Alberta will part ways after being together for just one season.

Carey made the announcement on the team's official Facebook page on Tuesday.

"Team Carey wishes to announce today that a new lineup will be on the ice for the 2015-16 curling season," said the post. "Effective immediately, skip Chelsea Carey will be leaving the team, while third Laura Crocker, second Taylor McDonald and lead Jen Gates will be making new plans for the 2015-16 season. The team wishes to thank all of its sponsors and followers for their support during the 2014-15 season."

Carey, 30, will begin looking for a new foursome immediately. She did not say whether she would move back to her home province of Manitoba to curl next season.

Team Carey sits 13th on the World Curling Tour money list and have two wins this season, the HDF Insurance Shoot-Out and the Boundary Ford Curling Classic. They lost to Val Sweeting in the Alberta provincial final and failed to qualify for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
