The Minnesota Wild have signed backup goaltender Alex Stalock to a three-year, $2.355 million contract extension.

Stalock will earn $905,000 in 2019-20, $700,000 in 2020-21 and $750,000 in 2021-22 for an average annual value of $785,000 on the one-way deal. He was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in July.

The 31-year-old has a 6-5 record this season with a 2.91 goals-against average and a .894 save percentage. 

A fourth-round pick of the San Jose Sharks in 2004, Stalock made his NHL debut during the 2010-11 season. He has a career 41-35-11 record with a 2.55 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage.
