The Cleveland Cavailiers and head coach Larry Drew have mutually parted ways, the team announced Thursday.

Drew took over for Ty Lue six games into the season and was named his permanent replacement. Drew led the team to a 19-57 record this season.

Drew had been with the Cavaliers since the 2014-15 season, first as an assistant coach then as an associate head coach. Drew spent nine games as the team's interim head coach during the 2017-18 season, finishing with an 8-1 record during a medical absence for Lue.

Drew has also been a head coach with the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks. The 61-year-old has a 162-226 record as a head coach in the NBA.
