The Philadelphia Flyers activated goaltender Brian Elliott from injured reserve on Tuesday, leaving the team with four goaltenders on the active roster.

Elliott has been out since Nov. 15 due to a lower-body injury and completed a two-game conditioning stint with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He posted a 1-1 record with a 3.47 goals-against average and a .877 save percentage.

The 33-year-old has a 6-7 record this season with a .911 save percentage and a 2.59 goals-against average in 14 games. He is one of seven goaltenders to start a game for the Flyers this season, three of whom remain of the active roster – Carter Hart, Cam Talbot and Mike McKenna – while Michal Neuvirth is on injured reserve.

The team acquired Talbot from the Edmonton Oilers last week for fellow goaltender Anthony Stolarz.

Elliott is a pending unrestricted free agent and carries a $2.75 million cap hit this season.
