The New York Islanders will have to continue their playoff push without the services of captain John Tavares.

Tavares is listed as week-to-week with a lower-body injury after leaving Friday's win over the New Jersey Devils in the third period with an injury. He appeared to injure his left hamstring, grabbing the back of his thigh after collapsing to the right of Devils' net.

Tavares is the Islanders leading scorer with 66 points in 77 games this season and sits second on the team in goals with 28.

The 26-year-old registered an assist against the Devils before exiting to snap a two-game point drought. He leads all Islanders forwards with an average ice time of 20:25 per game.

The Islanders have five games remaining over the course of nine days, meaning Tavares is likely done for the regular season.

New York is four points out of the final wild-card playoff spot.
