TORONTO - The Blue Jays have placed reliever Franklin Morales on the 15-day disabled list with left-shoulder fatigue.

Morales was warming up in the bullpen during Friday's game against visiting Boston when he was shut down after complaining of a dead arm. Manager John Gibbons said Saturday that Morales seemed OK but the pitcher was placed on the DL the next day retroactive to April 7.

The move allowed the Jays to activate Sunday's starter Marco Estrada, who had been on the DL with a back injury. It also leaves Brett Cecil as the only left-hander in the Toronto bullpen.
