aThe Minnesota Wild signed head coach Dean Evason and the team's entire coaching staff to multi-year extensions on Thursday.

The extensions come with the Wild (19-9-2) currently sitting second in the Central Division, one point back of the St. Louis Blues with a game in hand.

Evason was named interim head coach of the Wild on Feb. 14, 2020, taking over from Bruce Boudreau, and received the full-time role five months later. He has a 62-29-7 record in 98 games as the team's head coach.

The 57-year-old led the Wild to a 35-16-5 record in 56 games last season, falling to the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 7 of their first round playoff series. The Wild were eliminated in four games by the Vancouver Canucks in the qualifying round of the 2020 playoffs.

Assistant coaches Darby Hendrickson, Brett McLean and Bob Woods, goaltending coach Frederic Chabot and video coaches T.J. Jindra and Jonas Plumb were also extended Thursday.
