Northern Arena announces first four CS:GO, Dota 2 teams for Montreal
The first four Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2 teams coming to the Northern Arena Esports Championship presented by Bell in Montreal have been announced and it’s a mix of old and new.

The first four Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2 teams coming to the Northern Arena Esports Championship presented by Bell in Montreal have been announced and it’s a mix of old and new.
For the $100,000 CS:GO event, Heroic and NRG eSports will return after competing at Northern Arena in Toronto at the beginning of September. They will be joined by newcomers EnVyUs and Team Liquid.
Heroic finished third in Toronto and took home $15,000 while NRG failed to make it out of the group stage.
Brazilian squad Immortals captured the title in Toronto and took home the $50,000 grand prize with a win over Cloud9 in the finals.
The $100,000 Dota 2 tournament, the BEAT Invitational Montreal, welcomes four powerhouse squads in Evil Geniuses, Digital Chaos, Alliance and compLexity.
Evil Geniuses is just a year removed from their victory at The International 5, while Digital Chaos was the runner-up in the 2016 edition of the Valve Major.
Northern Arena in Montreal will take place from Nov. 10-13.
