The Philadelphia Flyers have placed forward Sean Couturier on injured reserve with an upper-body injury, the team announced on Thursday.

The 29-year-old is considered to be out week-to-week with his ailment.

The Bathurst, N.B. native has six goals and 17 points in 29 games this season.

Couturier has played his entire 11-year career with the Flyers, where he has 180 goals and 460 points in 721 games.

He signed an eight-year, $62 million contract extension this past off-season.
