TSN basketball analyst Jack Armstrong delivers five thoughts on the Raptors' preseason.

1. ANTHONY BENNETT (Raptors): Really impressed so far with his energy, defence and rebounding. Shot it well in Ottawa on Wednesday night against Minnesota and is keeping the game simple and playing within his strengths. Good for him. Nice to have a solid game against his old team.

2. KARL ANTHONY-TOWNS (T-WOLVES): Going to be a good one. Love his passion and motor defensively. Comfortable in the lane and has some polish to his overall game. Have watched him in person twice in last three days and I'm a fan.

3. JAMES JOHNSON (Raptors): I agree with Coach Dwane Casey. He is better suited in the front court. He was exceptional in the second quarter on Wednesday at the 5-spot. Tough cover. As long as he keeps it simple and plays smart he'll be effective.

4. TYUS JONES (T-WOLVES): Not a real big point guard but knows how to direct a team and manage the game. Sound player with poise and composure. Good at screen-and-roll and has deceptive quicks and change of pace to his game. Gets in the lane and finds people. Will contribute down the line.

5. BISMACK BIYOMBO (Raptors): This man brings his lunch pail and does the dirty work. Relentless defender who protects the lane, blocks and alters shots, rebounds on both ends and has a knack for being around the action. Yes, he struggles mightily at the free throw line and is limited offensively but hustle and effort are talents too which make his presence quite valuable.
