According to the report, Johnson will join the Heat after he clears waivers.

The 34-year-old was waived by the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday, prior to the March 1st deadline that will allow the veteran forward to sign with a team and be eligible for the playoffs.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors were rumoured to be among the teams interested in signing Johnson.

Johnson appeared in 57 games this season with the Nets, averaging 11.8 points, 4.1 assists and 3.9 rebounds a game.

The seven-time All-Star was in his fourth season with the Nets and has also appeared for the Atlanta Hawks, Phoenix Suns and Boston Celtics during his 15-year NBA career.
