Report: Lakers close to acquiring Pacers' Hibbert

The Los Angeles Lakers appear to be very close to acquiring Indiana Pacers 7-foot-2 centre Roy Hibbert, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. Hibbert, 28, averaged 10.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 76 games last season, his seventh with the Pacers.

The product of Georgetown was selected 17th overall by the Toronto Raptors in the 2008 NBA Draft, but was shortly traded to Indiana as part of the Jermaine O'Neal trade.
