Free agent forward Markieff Morris has agreed to sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Morris was acquired by the New Orleans Pelicans in a deal for Wesley Johnson at the trade deadline and then subsequently bought out.

He also had pursuits from the Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, Toronto Raptors and several others. OKC received commitment from Morris on Thursday, reports Charania.

In 34 games with 15 starts for the Washington Wizards this season, Morris is averaging 11.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.

The 29-year-old is currently in his eighth NBA season out of Kansas.

Morris is one of many players on the buyout market to find a new home, with Jeremy Lin, Wesley Matthews, Enes Kanter and Wayne Ellington also landing elsewhere after being bought out.
