Canadian guard Nik Stauskas will become an unrestricted free agent as Michael Scotto of The Athletic reports that the 24-year-old will not be tendered a qualifying offer by the Brooklyn Nets.

Stauskas played 35 games last season with the Nets after joining the team in a December trade from the Philadelphia 76ers.  He averaged 5.1 points and 1.1 assists in 13.7 minutes for the Nets.

The Mississauga native has also appeared with the Sacramento Kings and Philadelphia 76ers and in 267 NBA games, he had posted 7.0 points per game and 1.6 assists per game.
