It looks like Carlos Gonzalez is going back to the Colorado Rockies.

Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports that the Rockies and Gonzalez are finalizing a one-year contract to bring him back for his 10th season in the Mile High City.

Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports the deal is for $8 million.

It was a down year for the 32-year-old outfielder last season, hitting just .262 with 17 home runs and 57 RBI. His OPS of .762 was the lowest it's been since his rookie season with the Oakland Athletics in 2008.

Gonzalez is a three-time All-Star and a three-time Gold Glove Award winner.

The Rockies went 87-75 last season to make the playoffs for the first time since 2009 before falling in the Wild Card Game to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

They will kick off the regular season on March 29 at Chase Field against the Diamondbacks.
